South African books I recommend

I often get asked which other South African authors or books I'd recommend, so I've put together a list for you. Most of these authors are available on social media, and would be prepared to Skype into book clubs if you reach out to them directly with a request. I'm linking to Amazon purely because most of these books are only available in ebook format in the US, so you probably won't find them at your local indie bookstore, which I'd always prefer you to support:

Keletso Mopai - If You Keep Digging
www.amazon.com/You-Keep-Digging-Keletso-Mopai-ebook/dp/B07WKS9FS5/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=keletso+mopai&qid=1578948579&sr=8-1

Nozizwe Duduzile Cynthia Jele - The Ones with Purpose
www.amazon.com/Ones-Purpose-Nozizwe-Cynthia-Jele-ebook/dp/B07C46GFMN/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=the+ones+with+purpose&qid=1578948728&sr=8-1

Niq Mhlongo - various novels
www.amazon.com/s?k=niq+mhlongo&i=digital-text&crid=2VFDPIPYCV3N3&sprefix=niq+mh%2Cdigital-text%2C162&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_6

Fred Khumalo - various novels
www.amazon.com/s?k=fred+khumalo&i=digital-text&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

Siya Khumalo - You Need to be Gay to Know God
www.amazon.com/You-Have-Gay-Know-God-ebook/dp/B07CGFP8P6/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=siya+khumalo&qid=1578950246&sr=8-1

Melusi Tshabalala - Melusi's Everyday Zulu
www.amazon.com/Melusis-Everyday-Zulu-There-umZulu-ebook/dp/B07F3DYS7V/ref=sr_1_1?k

Please look out for any BlackBird Books titles:

And of course, Trevor Noah's Born a Crime is a must read! But I don't think he does book club Skypes. LOL.

I've finished the first draft of my second novel, If You Want to Make God Laugh.
Yes, it's another seven word title - maybe seven's my lucky number?
Though this is not a sequel to HUM, I'm hoping you'll love the three amazing
female protagonists as much as I do.
Plus, you may just see a cameo appearance made by
Robin and Beauty.

This is Eunice.
She inspired the character of Beauty.
She'll be turning 95 on the 8th of May and shares a birthday with Beauty.
Hum If You Don't Know the Words would never have been written without having this amazing woman in my life.
I'm more thankful for her than I could ever say.
