Learning how to structure a novel is incredibly difficult. Most emerging writers don't give much thought to it before diving in, especially if they're pantsers.
But structure is the foundation of your novel, as well as the walls that holds it up. Without a good story structure, the whole thing falls apart, ensuring the tension and pacing will fall flat.
How do you decide what scene to begin with? What should that be followed up with? How do you then keep the readers turning pages through that seemingly endless Act Two until a satisfying finale in Act Three?
