Now that you're in a newly minted writing group, you'll want to ensure that it's run in the most effective way to ensure that these creative relationships thrive, standing you in good stead for your entire writing career.
For a writing group to flourish, all of its members need to provide critique in a way that is constructive and useful, while also being encouraging and supportive. It's difficult getting the balance right but if you do, your vastly improved writing will reflect the functional group dynamic.
In this two hour course, learn how to:
- schedule meetings in which members submit on a rotational schedule
- critique work and provide feedback
- apply critique and feedback to your own work
- be respectful of one another's work and time
